Thelonious Himself

Thelonious Himself is a solo piano studio album by American jazz pianist Thelonious Monk, released in 1957. The recording showcases Monk's percussive touch, angular melodies, use of dissonance and rhythmic displacement within a sparse, improvisational piano setting, and it documents his work as a composer and solo performer during the late 1950s.
