Symphony No.7
Album by Gustav Mahler & Michael Gielen & Berliner Philharmoniker
Symphony No. 7 is the seventh symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1905. Musically it is a late-Romantic orchestral work notable for its expanded instrumentation, vivid nocturnal atmospheres and broad contrasts of mood, and it occupies a transitional place in Mahler's career between his earlier monumental symphonies and his later, more introspective final works.
