Quintet "The Trout"
Album by Franz Schubert & Štátny komorný orchester Žilina
The Trout Quintet is a piano quintet by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, composed in 1819. It is scored for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass and combines dance-like rhythms, flowing melody, frequent harmonic twists and varied instrumental textures; it comes from Schubert's mature chamber music period and follows his turn towards songlike material within instrumental forms.
