Má Vlast
Album by Bedřich Smetana & Chicago Symphony Orchestra & Rafael Kubelík
Má Vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The work is orchestral and programme-driven, rooted in Czech national themes and landscapes and exemplifies Smetana's mature nationalist style composed during the later part of his career while he was living in Prague and largely deaf.
