Symphony No.7 "Nachtmusik"

Album by Gustav Mahler & New York Philharmonic & Leonard Bernstein

Symphony No. 7 "Nachtmusik" is the seventh symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1905. The work is a late-Romantic orchestral composition that evokes nocturnal atmospheres through inventive orchestration, stark contrasts between lyrical and scherzo-like passages, and expanded instrumental colours, and it occupies a transitional place in Mahler's output between his middle-period experiments and his later, more introspective symphonies.
