Symphony No. 2, 'Resurrection', is a symphony by Gustav Mahler completed in 1894. A large-scale late-Romantic work with expanded orchestration that culminates in a finale for chorus and vocal soloists, it explores themes of life, death and renewal and represents an early mature statement in Mahler's career that broadened the possibilities of the symphonic form.
