Symphony No.3 "Eroica" / Leanora Overture No.1

This release pairs a Beethoven symphony and an overture, works composed and first performed in the early 1800s (completed around 1804–1805). The symphonic work expanded the scale, harmonic language and formal complexity of orchestral music with more expansive movements and heroic gestures, while the overture offers concentrated dramatic writing and orchestral colour characteristic of the composer's middle-period style.
