Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major is the fourth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1874. A large-scale Romantic work often nicknamed the 'Romantic', it juxtaposes broad hymn-like brass passages and richly layered orchestration with a vigorous scherzo and expansive slow movement, reflecting Bruckner's development as a symphonist and occupying an important place in the late-Romantic orchestral repertoire.
