Symphony No. 5 in B-flat major, Op. 100 is a symphony by the Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, completed in 1944 and first performed in 1945. Spanning four movements, it combines expansive, lyrical melodies with incisive rhythms and bright orchestral colour, representing Prokofiev's mature symphonic language and reflecting the artistic climate of mid-1940s Soviet composition.
