Ancient Airs and Dances is a set of orchestral suites by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi, composed between 1917 and 1931. The works adapt Renaissance and early Baroque lute and vocal pieces into lush string and wind orchestrations, exemplifying Respighi's interest in historical pastiche and representing a strand of his output devoted to orchestral transcriptions of earlier music.
