The Seasons is an oratorio by the Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, first performed in 1801. The work uses choral and solo vocal writing with orchestral accompaniment to depict rural life through the year, combining pastoral motifs with classical forms and representing one of Haydn's late-career large-scale contributions to the oratorio repertoire.
