Lincolnshire Posy
Album by Percy Grainger & Dallas Winds & Jerry Junkin
Lincolnshire Posy is a suite for concert band by Percy Grainger, completed in 1937. Drawing on folk songs Grainger collected in his native Lincolnshire, the work employs irregular rhythms, folk-inflected phrasing and colourful wind scoring, and it occupies a prominent place in 20th-century concert-band repertoire.
