Triple Quartet

Album by Steve Reich

Triple Quartet is a composition by American composer Steve Reich, written in 1998. The work, scored for three string quartets (often realised by one quartet with two prerecorded tracks), employs Reich's rhythmic repetition, interlocking patterns and gradual harmonic shifts and represents his late-1990s exploration of expanded ensemble textures within his minimalist idiom.
First released: 16th October 2001
