Symphonies nos. 7 & 8
Album by Antonín Dvořák & Oslo‐Filharmonien & Mariss Jansons
Symphonies Nos. 7 & 8 are orchestral works by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, completed in 1885 and 1889 respectively. They exemplify Dvořák's late-romantic orchestral language, combining expansive melodies, vibrant orchestration and Czech folk-influenced rhythms and modes, and they represent a key phase in his career as examples of his mature symphonic writing within the international repertoire.
