Kullervo

Album by Jean Sibelius & London Symphony Orchestra & London Symphony Chorus & Peter Mattei & Monica Groop & Sir Colin Davis

Kullervo is a choral symphony by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, composed and first performed in 1892. The five-movement work combines large orchestral forces with male chorus and soloists, drawing on the Kalevala for its narrative and representing an important early-career statement that helped define Sibelius's national Romantic idiom.
