Symphonies Nos. 9–12 are a set of early symphonies by Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, composed in the early 1760s. They exemplify the early Classical symphonic style with clear, transparent orchestration, balanced multi-movement structures and energetic thematic development, and they mark a formative stage in Haydn's evolution from Italianate sinfonia and divertimento models toward his later mature symphonies.
