Sonatas for Cello and Piano

Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Gabriel Fauré & Miklós Perényi & Tibor Wehner & Loránt Szűcs

The Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 65 is a sonata for cello and piano by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed in 1846. A late Romantic chamber work, it features Chopin's characteristic pianistic writing alongside a substantial cello part, combining lyrical melodies, dramatic contrasts and sophisticated harmonic language, and stands as his only major work for cello and piano that reflects his mature approach to instrumental chamber music.
