Sinfonische Dichtung „Die Moldau“
Album by Bedřich Smetana & Antonín Dvořák & Claude Debussy & London Symphony Orchestra & Alfred Scholz
Sinfonische Dichtung „Die Moldau“ is a symphonic poem by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, written in 1874 as the second part of his cycle Má vlast. The work uses orchestral tone‑painting and flowing, folk‑inspired melodies to depict the course of the Vltava River, and it occupies a prominent place in Smetana's development of musical nationalism within the late Romantic tradition.
