Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74 'Pathétique' is the final completed symphony by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, completed and premiered in 1893. Characterised by expansive Romantic melodies, stormy low-register themes, contrasting scherzo passages and a notably slow, sombre finale, the work represents the culmination of Tchaikovsky's symphonic output and occupies a prominent place in late-Romantic orchestral repertoire.
