Symphony no. 8 "Unfinished" / Rosamunde
Album by Franz Schubert & Budapesti Filharmóniai Társaság Zenekara & Kovács János
Two orchestral works by Franz Schubert were composed in 1822 and 1823. Both pieces exemplify Schubert's transition into early Romantic orchestral writing, blending classical forms with expansive, lyrical melodies and varied orchestral colour, and they occupy an important place in his late output as examples of his mature approach to symphonic and incidental music.
