Symphonie Nr. 4

Symphonie Nr. 4 is the fourth symphony by Gustav Mahler, completed in 1901. A late-Romantic orchestral work in G major, it uses relatively lighter orchestration and a conventional four-movement design culminating in a soprano setting of a child's vision of heaven, reflecting Mahler's movement toward more transparent textures and concentrated lyrical expression within his symphonic output.
