Cello Sonatas Nos. 1 and 2 are a set of cello sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1796 and published in 1798. They exemplify Beethoven's early Classical style, featuring intricate cello–piano dialogue, classical forms with dramatic contrasts and virtuosic passages that helped expand the cello repertoire and foreshadow his later, more individual compositional voice.
