Klavierstücke I-XI

Klavierstücke I–XI is a cycle of piano pieces by Karlheinz Stockhausen, composed between 1952 and 1961. Across these works Stockhausen moves from strict serial organisation of parameters such as pitch, duration and dynamics toward increasingly experimental approaches to rhythm, timbre and form, documenting his development within the post-war European avant-garde and expanding the technical and sonic possibilities of the piano.
