Symphony No. 7 in C major, Op. 60, 'Leningrad' is the seventh symphony by Soviet composer Dmitry Shostakovich, composed in 1941. The expansive orchestral work features broad, dramatic themes, stark contrasts and martial rhythms reflecting the wartime context, and it occupies a significant place in Shostakovich's output as a major wartime symphony that influenced mid-20th-century symphonic writing.
