Sonatas Op. 109, 110, 111
Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Glenn Gould
Sonatas Op. 109, 110 and 111 are a set of three piano sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed between 1820 and 1822. Belonging to his late period, they feature expanded harmonic language, formal experimentation, a juxtaposition of lyrical passages with contrapuntal and fugal writing, and concentrated structural designs that characterise his final contributions to the piano repertoire.
