Sevilla
Album by Isaac Albéniz & Jason Vieaux
Sevilla is a piano composition by Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz, first published in 1886 as part of his Suite española, Op. 47. The work draws on Spanish nationalist idioms, using lilting Andalusian rhythms, guitar-like arpeggiated textures and colourful modal harmonies, and exemplifies Albéniz's shift toward evocative regional styles that subsequently influenced classical guitar repertoire and the Spanish nationalist movement in music.
