Sonatas for Cello and Piano: Op. 102 nos. 1 & 2 / Op. 69
Album by Ludwig van Beethoven & Csaba Onczay & Jenő Jandó
Sonatas for Cello and Piano: Op. 102 nos. 1 & 2 / Op. 69 are cello sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven, composed in 1808 (Op. 69) and 1815 (Op. 102 nos. 1 and 2). They sit between his middle and late periods, blending classical sonata structures with an expanded harmonic language, increased contrapuntal complexity and more intimate chamber textures that mark a shift towards the composer's later, more experimental chamber music.

First released: November 1991
