Overtures / Suites BWV 1066–1069 are a set of four orchestral suites by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed around 1720. The works exemplify the Baroque suite, typically opening with a French overture and progressing through a sequence of dance movements with colourful orchestration for strings, continuo and winds, and they form an important part of Bach's orchestral output that synthesises French and Italian stylistic elements.
