Double Concerto / Clarinet Quintet
Album by Johannes Brahms & Renaud Capuçon & Gautier Capuçon & Capuçon Quartet & Paul Meyer & Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester & Myung-Whun Chung
The Double Concerto in A minor, Op.102 and the Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op.115 are compositions by Johannes Brahms, composed in 1887 and 1891 respectively. They are late Romantic works that combine orchestral and chamber forces with rich chromatic harmony and lyrical solo writing, and they were written near the end of Brahms's career when his musical language had become more introspective.
