Real Life / Secondhand Daylight

Album by Magazine

Real Life and Secondhand Daylight are the first and second studio albums by English post-punk band Magazine, released in 1978 and 1979 respectively. Both records combine angular guitar work, prominent basslines and the use of synthesiser and piano to expand punk's palette into art-rock and experimental post-punk textures, with the second album exploring more atmospheric arrangements that trace the band's development within the late 1970s post-punk movement.
