Má vlast (My Fatherland)
Album by Bedřich Smetana & התזמורת הפילהרמונית הישראלית & Zubin Mehta
Má vlast (My Fatherland) is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The work blends Romantic-era orchestral colour, national themes and vivid tone-painting to evoke landscapes and historical subjects, and it represents a major component of Smetana's mature output and of the development of Czech national music.
