Sound Pieces

Sound Pieces is an album by American jazz saxophonist and composer Oliver Nelson, released in 1966. The record pairs compact post-bop small-group performances with larger ensemble and orchestral arrangements that use modern jazz harmonies and brass textures, and it follows Nelson's earlier work in which he wrote and arranged for both studio groups and bigger bands.
