Mass in 40 Parts is a mass by Alessandro Striggio, composed around 1566. The work is large-scale Renaissance sacred polyphony written for forty independent vocal parts with dense imitative counterpoint and spatial choir placement, and it is one of Striggio's most ambitious sacred compositions that influenced later multi-choir works.
