Ornette on Tenor

Ornette on Tenor is a studio album by American jazz saxophonist Ornette Coleman, released in 1962. The album finds Coleman on tenor rather than his customary alto and continues his exploration of free jazz with open harmonic frameworks, collective improvisation and angular melodic phrasing that foreground timbre and spontaneous interplay in his early 1960s output.
