Fontane di Roma / Pini di Roma / Feste Romane

Album by Ottorino Respighi & Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo & John Neschling

Fontane di Roma / Pini di Roma / Feste Romane is a compilation of orchestral tone poems by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi, completed in 1928. The works employ lavish, colourful orchestration and programme-driven writing to evoke Rome's urban spaces, pine-lined vistas and public celebrations, forming Respighi's Roman trilogy and representing a key strand of his mature output in early 20th-century orchestral music.
