Suor Angelica is a one-act opera by Italian composer Giacomo Puccini, premiered in 1918. Written in a late-Romantic verismo idiom, it features intimate, lyrical vocal writing, rich orchestration and a focus on religious and tragic themes, and it forms the sombre, concentrated component of Puccini's Il trittico, reflecting his interest in compact, theatrical drama late in his career.
