Album by Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff & London Symphony Orchestra & Gennadi Nikolayevich Rozhdestvensky
Symphony No. 2 in E minor is the second symphony by Russian composer Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff, completed in 1907. The score exemplifies the late-Romantic orchestral style with expansive, lyrical themes, lush orchestration and rich harmonic language, and it occupies a central place in Rachmaninoff's early 20th-century orchestral output as his second large-scale symphony.
