Quartets
Album by Claude Debussy & Maurice Ravel & Guarneri Quartet
The String Quartet in G minor, Op. 10 is the only string quartet by French composer Claude Debussy, composed in 1893. The work employs innovative harmonic colour, modal and whole‑tone inflections and cyclical motifs to reshape quartet writing and marks a pivotal step in Debussy's movement away from late‑Romantic idioms towards a more idiosyncratic, impressionistic chamber style.
