Sound-System is a studio album by American jazz pianist and composer Herbie Hancock, released in 1984. It continues Hancock's exploration of electronic instruments and electro-funk, featuring synthesiser-led arrangements, drum machines, sampling and rhythmic elements drawn from funk and dance music, and represents a continuation of his 1980s shift toward synth-driven, genre-blending jazz.
