Rococo Variations, formally titled Variations on a Rococo Theme, is a composition for cello and orchestra by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1876. The work draws on Rococo and Classical-era models with lyrical, ornamented cello writing and a series of variations that reflect period forms, and it occupies a distinctive place in Tchaikovsky's output as his principal work for solo cello and orchestra.
