The Rite of Spring / Petrushka is a paired recording of two ballets by Igor Stravinsky, originally composed in 1913 and 1911 respectively. The works exemplify Stravinsky's early modernist language, characterised by driving, irregular rhythms, striking dissonances and colourful orchestration, and they occupy a central place in the development of 20th-century orchestral and ballet repertoire.
