The single is a 1975 release by English space rock band Hawkwind. Its sound blends hard-rock energy and a raw, propulsive bass approach with the group's established psychedelic and space-rock textures, and the release coincided with a pivotal personnel change that led the songwriter to leave and form a separate, heavier band which later took its name from the single's lead track.
