Die Tageszeiten - Symphonies nos. 6, 7, 8 - Le Matin - Le Midi - Le Soir

Album by Joseph Haydn & La Petite Bande & Sigiswald Kuijken

Die Tageszeiten — Symphonies Nos. 6–8 is a set of three early symphonies by Austrian composer Joseph Haydn, composed in 1761. They employ Classical-era orchestral forces with clear sonata forms, vivid orchestration and programme-like gestures evoking different times of day, and they represent an exploratory phase in Haydn's early career as he refined symphonic structure and expressive range.
