Streichquartette 10 & 14 is a release of two string quartets by Franz Schubert, composed in 1813 and 1824 respectively. Musically the works blend Classical quartet forms with early Romantic expressiveness, featuring lyrical slow movements, heightened harmonic tension and contrasting dramatic episodes that mark a transitional point in Schubert's chamber music leading toward later Romantic developments.
