7½ on the Richter Scale is a studio album by American bandleader Stan Kenton and His Orchestra, released in 1956. The album has big band jazz with dense brass arrangements, complex harmonies, a driving rhythm section and orchestral colours, and it was issued during Kenton's late 1950s period when he moved toward heavier, more modernist sounds in his career.
