Sinfonie Nr. 1 C-Moll

Album by Anton Bruckner & Gewandhausorchester Leipzig & Herbert Blomstedt

Sinfonie Nr. 1 in C‑Moll is the first symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1866. The work is a large-scale Romantic orchestral symphony rooted in the Austro‑German tradition, exhibiting broad sonorities, expansive structural planning and early glimpses of the harmonic language and organ-influenced textures that would characterise Bruckner's later symphonies.
