Symphony No. 1 In C Minor
Album by Anton Bruckner & Orchestre de la Suisse Romande & Marek Janowski
Symphony No. 1 in C minor is a symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1866. Musically it displays hallmarks of late-Romantic orchestral writing, with expansive structures, dense brass and string textures and wide dynamic contrasts, and it occupies an early but important position in Bruckner's development as he moved towards the larger, more expansive symphonies of his mature period.
