Piano Trios

Album by Johannes Brahms & Ernst Krenek & Feininger Trio

Piano Trios is a set of three piano trios by German composer Johannes Brahms, composed between 1854 and 1886. The works blend Romantic-era lyricism and classical forms through rich harmonic language, contrapuntal writing and intimate chamber textures, documenting Brahms's development from his youthful influences to his mature compositional voice and their place in the chamber music repertoire.
