44 Duos for Two Violins is a set of duets by Hungarian composer Béla Bartók, composed in 1931. The pieces draw on Central and Eastern European folk melodies and modal harmonies, written for two violins with material ranging from pedagogical studies to more complex contrapuntal pieces, and they exemplify Bartók's increasing incorporation of folk sources and educational aims in his output.
