Symphony No. 3
Album by Anton Bruckner & Chicago Symphony Orchestra & Sir Georg Solti
Symphony No. 3 is a symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1873. The work is a large-scale late-Romantic orchestral composition in D minor that displays expansive structures, prominent brass writing and Wagnerian harmonic and orchestral influences, and it represents an early mature statement that links Bruckner's formative experiments with the more monumental symphonies he produced later in his career.
